MARKED FABERGÉ, WITH THE WORKMASTER'S MARK OF MICHAEL PERCHIN, ST PETERSBURG, 1899-1903, SCRATCHED INVENTORY NUMBER 3177
Rectangular, the orlets body on a silver base with four lion paw feet between reeded borders, the sides applied with ribbon-tied laurel swags suspended from ribbon crests, with an acanthus-chased upper border, with a circular acanthus-chased silver mount centring a cabochon garnet push-piece, the ivory plate under base, marked on lower and upper circular mounts
2 5/8 in. (6.7 cm.) wide

Emperor Nicholas II (1868-1918) and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna (1872-1918), purchased from the Fabergé St Petersburg branch on 1 December 1900 for 210 roubles, paid 105 roubles each.
Acquired by the grandfather of the present owner in the 1970s.
