專家說明
“In the Suite 347, Picasso reveals himself as a consummate storyteller. Allegorical narratives contain people from his life and motifs from his art, both past and present, while also referencing the old masters, including Rembrandt, Goya, Ingres and Degas, among others. Picasso relished the process, saying, ‘As soon as the drawing gets underway, a story or an idea is born…the story brows, like theater or life…I spend hour after hour while I draw, observing my creatures and thinking about the mad things they’re up to. Basically, it’s my way of writing fiction.’” (Deborah Wye, A Picasso Portfolio, Prints from the Museum of Modern Art, 169)
