Stella dials

Rolex's reliable Oyster Perpetual Day-Date model was introduced at the Basel Fair in 1956 and the model has proved popular ever since. For a short period of time in the 1970's, Day-Date reference 1803 was available with colored dials that had the appearance of enamel. Known among collectors as Stella dials, they are considered highly collectible and rare. They are unanimously acknowledged as among the most attractive and intriguing dials ever produced. Available in a plethora of colors, they never fail to entice novice as well as seasoned collectors.
