Gilt-finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two polished hammers on to a gong, repeat activated through a slide in the band, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, outer calibrated fifths ring with Arabic fifth divisions, four sunken subsidiary dials for month with leap year indication, day and date, constant seconds combined with phases of the moon and lunar calendar, circular polished case, monogrammed front cover, chronograph button in the band, hinged back, 18k gold watch chain, locket and fob, case signed at the hinges, case and cuvette numbered, with London date stamp

John Collard Vickery was a well-known silver, gold and jewellery firm at the beginning of the 20th century. Located at 183 Regent Street W, Vickery along with his initial partner Arthur Thomas Hobbs sold many fine pieces such as the present repeating perpetual calendar watch. They remained partners until 1891 when Vickery moved on his own. He remained a well-known until his death in 1930. His first mark was entered at the London Assay Office on April 25th, 1899 with subsequent entries in May 1899, May 1901 and April 1902.
