With Rolex Garantie Internationale, stamped by Khimji Ramdas LLC, the official Rolex retailer in the Sultanate of Oman, and dated 1 April 2012. Furthermore delivered with sales tag, product literature, box and outer packaging.
It is remarkable, in the world of watchmaking, how the modification of one detail imparts a completely different look to a timepiece. In the case of ref. 116610LV (for Lunette Verte or green bezel), nicknamed "The Hulk" for obvious reasons, Rolex decided to give to bezel and dial a deep bottle green color. Indeed, it seems incredible that a color change modified the overall feel of the timepiece in such a tremendous way, and the final result is striking and innovative: once again, Rolex managed to create an instant classic.
A very attractive watch and in close to new old stock condition, the present piece furthermore comes in absolutely mint condition and with its full sale kit.
The true secret of this watch, however, is unveiled only after examining the caseback: it is an Omani timepiece, as the proud Khanjar on the back (reprised on the box as well) makes unmistakably clear.
Retailed by the official Omani Rolex retailer, Khimji Ramdas, in 2012, this lot reunites condition, aesthetic appeal, the legacy of the Rolex Submariner line, and the prestige of an Omani timepiece under one roof.
