專家說明

With Côntrol Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres Rating Certificate dated 28 September 1998, Officine Panerai product literature, original fitted wooden presentation box containing a screw driver and outer packaging.

The present watch is one of the very few examples of the PAM00037 Luminor Marina to appear in public to date. Launched in 1998, PAM00037 was Panerai's first model using luminova instead of tritium. It was made in an exceedingly small series only, presumably as a test: assumption underlined by the Officine Panerai label on the presentation box of this watch, marked "OFFICINE PANERAI PAM00037 LUMINOR TEST AC".

Some 40 examples, featuring engraved facsimile signatures of renowned personalities from the world of art, culture, business, politics, sport and show business, were sold by Officine Panerai for the benefit of the WWF Mediterranean Program. The watches were auctioned by Christie's at a Gala Evening at the Palazzo della Triennale in Milan. Black and white photographs of these celebrities taken by the famous photographer Antonio Guccione are published in Il Valore delle Ore - The Value of Time, Antonio Guccione and Officine Panerai.

The model is also known as "The Ghost" as it has never appeared in any Panerai catalogues. It is today highly sought after by collectors.
