Executed in 1981. Published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles, with their blindstamps and inkstamp on the reverse. This work is number seven of seven, nine, or eleven artist's proofs respectively, the edition was fifty. (7)

'The 1981 Sketches were still bound to the sculptural works. These lithographs were derived from a series of drawings Serra made upon the completion of the sculpture TWU in the spring of 1980. Serra wrote: 'After the work was erected, I began to draw from it. Drawing has always been a method for me to bring sculpture to definition, i.e. to understand the work in totality after its completion'
