the complete set of seven etchings with aquatint on Arches Cover paper
41½ x 29½ in. (105.4 x 74.9 cm.) and smaller
Executed in 1981-82. Published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles, 1982, with their blindstamps and inkstamp on the reverse. This work is number seven of nine artist's proofs, the edition was eighteen.

'Black, which figures so importantly in Kelly's art, absorbs all light and reflects none. It is an absence of light, characterized by Kelly (in reference to the truncated black rectangle of the Concorde motif) as a shape in its own right-a black shade pulled down against the light'
