Leonard Tsuguharu Foujita (1886-1968)

The woman depicted is Madeleine Lequeux, a danser at the Casino de Paris, who posed for Foujita for the first time in 1930. From thereupon the artist and his model started a relationship and stayed together until Madeleine passed away in 1936.
