With cavetto-moulded cornice with a simulated fluted shallow frieze above a pair of patera-inlaid doors enclosing three cedar sliding trays above two short and one long mahogany-lined drawers on tapering square legs, chalk inscription to the reverse 'Londonderry/ Richmond', originally with further trays, the base originally with edge-moulding
61.3/4 in. (157 cm.) high; 48 in. (122 cm.) wide; 22 in. (56 cm.) deep

Possibly Robert Darcy, 4th Earl of Holderness (1718-1788), Holdernesse House, Park Lane, London.
Possibly acquired in situ at Holdernesse House (later Londonderry House) by Charles William Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry (1778-1854) in 1822, and by descent.
