專家說明

Some constructional elements of these elegant chairs are evocative of those of the leading London cabinet-makers John Mayhew and William Ince - the rounded flowerhead panels to the top of the legs and the fluted seatrails are characteristics attributable to their firm. The arms, however, are not joined directly at the top of the legs as is usually the case on Mayhew and Ince chairs, but at the middle of the seat, a feature more commonly found in Thomas Chippendale's designs.
