With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1946 and its subsequent sale on July 12th of 1948.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 1518 from 1941 until approximately 1954, and was the first perpetual calendar chronograph to be manufactured in series by any firm in the world. Only 281 examples of this reference were produced in total. The present example is one of the most original examples to come to the market, is very well preserved, and in our opinion has never been polished or restored in any way. In today's world, examples of vintage complicated wristwatches that are in such original condition are incredibly rare, and represent an opportunity for any purist to add to their collection a watch that is in as close as possible condition to when it was originally sold.

Reference 1518 was succeeded by the reference 2499, and subsequently references 3970, 5970, and 5270, all of which drew clear inspiration from the legendary reference 1518.
