Circular with openwork basket weave sides and with twisted cord border, the lower body chased with foliage, with overhead swing twisted cord handle, engraved with a coat-of-arms below a duke's coronet, marked underneath, the base further engraved with a scratchweight '66=0'

The arms are those of Clinton with Pelham in pretence for Henry Fiennes Pelham-Clinton, 2nd Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne (1720-1794).
