Contemporary South German blind-stamped calf over wooden boards (rebacked, lacks clasps, spine very rubbed). Provenance: numerous marginal notes in a contemporary monastic German hand and 18 manuscript leaves at the end in the same hand discussing a range of theological topics, initials in red and green, capitals touched red, rubrics in red -- Freiburg im Breisgau, Franciscan convent (1648 inscription) -- Cortiense (stamp on title) -- Compagnia del Gesú (book label).
