FIRST EDITION. Although a late work, much of it was taken over almost unchanged from an unpublished tract that Locke had started in 1668. Stephen Leake, the owner of this copy, wrote Nummi Britannici historia (1726), the standard book on English coinage. Goldsmiths' 2941; Kress 1792; Wing L-2760.
