專家說明
The present portrait relief is perhaps the best known likeness of the poet Alfred Tennyson. Executed by Thomas Woolner (1825-1892), the relief was adapted following the comments of Tennyson's wife who asked that the nose be shortened and the profile be made more noble. A similar plaster relief is in the Tate Collection (TO5515).
