專家說明

The carved moulding on the top is almost identical to that on magnificent boulle table attributed to Gillows' London manufactory by S. Stuart (Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840, London, 2008, vol. I, p. 291). It also appears on an oval table in the Estimate Sketch Books, folio 2054 (July 1817). The top as a whole resembles the specimen marble table supplied to Broughton Hall by Gillows London in 1821 (illus. ibid., vol. I, p. 337), while the base relates to a design in the Estimate Sketch Books, folio 3751 (December 1829).
