專家說明

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin and Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with diamond hour markers in 1964 and its subsequent sale on 22 May 1964.

Patek Philippe's standard reference 3445 must be considered one of the most convincing and timeless designs ever created for any wristwatch. It is free of any decoration and was never intended to be fashionable. On the contrary, with a production spanning two full decades it has proven to withstand trends and the ever changing moods of the consumers. Consequently, it does not come as a surprise that reference 3445 was made in all different colors of gold but also, in an extremely small quantity, in platinum.

Of all versions of reference 3445, the present watch must be considered, without exaggeration, the most important, rarest and most valuable of them all. Cased in platinum, the most prestigious and costliest of all versions, it is furthermore highlighted by 11 baguette diamonds as hour markers. Out of the exceedingly small series of only 8 known examples of reference 3445 in platinum, the present watch is the only one know to feature baguette-diamond numerals.

Furthermore, the this example here is preserved in superb condition with very strong definition to the facetted lugs and beautiful hallmarks. It is safe to say that the watch retains its factory finish. The presence of the original certificate is completing this superb package.

Reference 3445, Patek Philippe's first calendar watch made in series, was in production from 1961 to 1981. The model and its calibre 27-460M movement are illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, first edition, pp. 172 & 173.
