專家說明
With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin and Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with Breguet numerals in 1989 and its subsequent sale on 14 August 1989. Furthermore delivered with Attestation, 150th Anniversary medal, République et Canton de Genève Certificate of Origin, instructions, fitted burgundy presentation box and outer packaging.
Offered at auction for the first time, the watch is preserved in generally very good overall condition.
The particularity of a jump hour watch lies in its unusual mechanism and appearance. The hours are indicated by a small disc turning underneath a window. The disc rotates every time the minute hand, set within the centre of the dial, hits the full hour. The tonneau-shaped case was a typical design of the 1920s and is currently the subject of nostalgic popularity.
Both jump hour models are described and illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, pp. 120 & 121.
