Consigned by the original owner, the present watch is in excellent, close to new condition.
The Octa Sport, the second model of F.P. Journe's Sport series, emphasis the maker's fondness for aluminum and its lightness - weighing a mere 53 grams. The aluminum used is not the standard version which is soft and oxidizes. Instead, F.P. Journe chose an aluminum alloy used in aeronautics, requiring the perfecting of the different processing methods to render it scratch resistant, anti-corrosive and anti-allergic.
Like all of F.P. Journe watches, the Octa Sport movement maintains high horology standards. Made entirely from aluminum alloy, the automatic caliber FPJ 1300-3 features an adjustable-intertia, free sprung balance, instant-jump date indication, an off-center rotor with tungsten perimeter weight to maximize winding efficiency, and a power reserve of 120 hours.
