Contemporary red paneled morocco gilt, spine richly gilt in compartments, one of these lettered in gilt (corners rubbed, candle wax to upper cover, minor scuff to lower). A FINE COPY IN A SUPERB CONTEMPORARY BINDING WITH AN IMPRESSIVE PROVENANCE. The book was presented by the Master and Fellows of Emmanuel College to Sir Albert Richardson in thanks for advice given on proposed buildings works at the College. The binding is identical to a copy bound with Oxonia Illustrata sold as lot 844 in our sale 'The Library of William Foyle' in July, 2000. Millard British, 40; RIBA 1913; Wing L-2837.
