With Audemars Piguet undated Garantie, instruction manual, product literature and fitted pouch.
Making its debut at Christie's for the first time, this Audemars Piguet watch was one of the most anticipated releases at Baselworld when it was first introduced in 2007. Hardly seen on the market since then, the present Maserati Millenary Tourbillon is a rare find and will most certainly gather the interest of Audemars Piguet and Maserati collectors alike.
The present example incorporates a tourbillon weighing only 0.45 grams, and a set of double barrels offering 10 day power reserve. Interestingly, Audemars Piguet developed barrels manufactured from a combination of unique alloys including white gold and palladium to reduce any loss of energy caused by frictions. The main plate of the movement is crafted from carbon fibre and the bridges from aluminium.
The present lot is in pristine condition and is numbered 17 from a limited edition of 150 pieces only.
