The sunburst-shaped oval frame set with rock-crystals, with central figure, modelled as the Christ Child as Salvatore Mundi, enamelled to both sides in blue and white with star-pattern, the reverse of the frame engraved with oval bands and triangles, with suspension loop

A similar enamel star-pattern can be found on various examples, for example in Y. Hackenbroch, Renaissance Jewellery, London 1979, plate XXXXIV, no. 915 and in P.E. Muller, Jewels in Spain 1500-1800, Madrid 2000, p. 128, fig. 214 from the New York, Hispanic Society of America, inv. no. R3504.
