Two similar signed and dated miniatures by Augustin, painted around 1794/1795, are illustrated in the exhibition catalogue Jean-Baptiste Jacques Augustin. Peintre en miniature, Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, musée Pierre-Noël, 2010, p. 49, nos. 25 and 26.
