signed and numbered 'A. Rodin No. 9' (on the top of the base); inscribed and dated '© by musée Rodin 1961.' (on the right side of the base); inscribed with foundry mark '.Georges Rudier.. Fondeur. Paris.' (on the back of the base); with raised signature 'A. Rodin' (on the underside)

Conceived in 1889-1900; this bronze version cast in 1961
