See E. Aslin and P. Atterbury, Minton 1798-1910, Victoria & Albert Museum and Thomas Goode & Co. Ltd Exhibition, August - October 1976, p. 65-66, pl. 50, cat. Ill for a turquoise-ground seau similarly enameled by Desiré Leroy. Four of these seau are known, only two of which are signed. It is unusual to find Minton examples of Leroy's work as he was employed at Stoke for only a short period prior to establishing his fame at Royal Crown Derby.
