專家說明

The present lot reproduces the design of a medal executed in 1791 by Carl Leberech and I. Hass. The medal depicts the earliest known representation of Field Marshal Alexander Suvorov (1730-1800). Only a small number of the medals designed by Leberech and Hass were produced in 1791, and thus later copies were executed by A. Pritki and M. Kutchkin of the St. Petersburg mint. See A.V. Pomarnotskii, Portraits of A.V. Suvorov, Leningrad, 1963, pp. 28-32.
