Fifth edition, the frontispiece showing Quevedo with the nine Castilian muses. The poems were not published in his own lifetime but assembled posthumously by his friend Jusepe Antonio González de Salas who published six muses (i.e. parts) in 1648. The three final muses were published by the poet's nephew, Pedro Aldrete Quevedo, in 1670. The 17th-century editions are all of great rarity. NO COPY OF THIS EDITION IN BNE. Palau XIV, 244333; not in Goldsmith.
