The tall helmet constructed of leather and lacquered black to resemble a rhinoceros horn, the peakless front embossed with eyebrows and wrinkles and the sides and back fitted with a wide brim slightly everted, fitted with a gold-lacquer forecrest of flames, the helmet fitted with a small two-lame solid-plate iron neck guard lacquered black and laced in blue; with an iron face mask forged in one piece with an applied horse-hair moustache and chin tuft, the interior lacquered gold, fitted with a three-lame solid-plate iron throat guard lacquered russet-brown and gold and laced in blue
