專家說明

This chair is probably part of a set of eight originally supplied to King Louis Napoleon for the King's bedroom in the Royal Palace Het Loo. One of these chairs remains in the Royal Palace and is illustrated in P. Rem, Hofmeubilair, Zwolle, 2003, pp. 45-46, cat. no. 9.
Based on the distinctive reeded over-scrolling top rail, this chair relates to several others that were supplied by Eduard Muller to the King between 1807 and 1810. Muller was a tapissier who used various workshops to supply the various Royal Palaces in the early 19th century.
