Retaining some of its original simulated-rosewood decoration underneath later gold paint, the underside of the base branded 'VR BP NO 2361866', the associated glazed banner with silk panel, worked in silk and metal threads, depicting Genghis Khan mounted on horseback, and with label inscribed, 'A piece of bed furniture belonging to Queen Mary, daughter of Henry 8th made in the year 1556', also applied with two labels 'CHURCH STREET/140-142/ROWLEY/W:8/KENSINGTON'
