專家說明

The original painting by van Dyck is in the British Royal Collection (RCIN 404403). Van Dyck painted the children twice in 1635: the earlier composition showed the young Prince of Wales in a dress but this did not meet with the King's approval and a second version was made in which the Prince of Wales is depicted in more grown up and regal attire.
