專家說明

The sitter in the present miniature, whose traditional identification has been that of Countess Clam, has recently been identified as Ursula Kaczkowska, first wife of Polish artist Wincenty de Lesseur-Lesserowitcz (see lot 222). The sitter was an actress in the Krakow ballet.
We are indebted to Dr Izabella Wierzinska, Curator of Miniatures at the National Museum of Warsaw for bringing the true identity of the sitter to our attention.
