With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1954 and its subsequent sale on 20 December 1954. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe certificate of origin dated 19 February 1955 with retailer stamp IH SENA LTD, Jewellers, 44 High Street, Singapore.
Preserved in extremely crisp and excellent overall condition, the present watch is a beautiful example of the stylish ref. 2508. The Swiss gold mark on the right side of the band is absolutely clear and of exactly the pristine quality a discerning collector would hope for. The watch stands out by its charismatic antique rose-coloured dial, which shows no signs of cosmetic enhancement with very fine hard enamel signature and outer seconds divisions. Its rarity is further enhanced by the presence of the original Certificate.
In today's market, reference 2508 is undoubtedly amongst the most popular "time only" wristwatches by Patek Philippe. Its plain yet masculine and sporty look make it a great collector's watch, especially since its case proportions are very much identical to the much celebrated screw-back chronograph reference 1463.
The present watch is amongst the most beautiful and desirable examples of this reference, featuring an incredibly crisp and sharp edged pink gold case and an immaculate salmon-colored dial harmonizing with the case material, a highly and most sought after combination for connoisseurs. Lastly, the presence of the original certificate is a blessing by itself for the demanding collector.
