'Art has to have a message or initiate a conversation, challenge a debate... I chose this humoristic Arabic sentence 'Eejet Al Kahraba- Rahet Al Kahraba' which translates in English into 'Electricity is on Electricity is off' to comment on a crucial state of a very poor infrastructure in many countries and troubled cities in the Middle East today and around the world. In this reference to the power being on or off, I am commenting on a tricky universal situation. It tackles politicians, socialists and soldiers. Human beings are fragile as the nature of the neon lights, they are subject to losing power every time they gain it. Hence by using the power itself, I wanted to start, with a sarcastic smile, an infinite dialogue.'
