Sandra Blow, R.A. (1923-2006)

As a matter painter, Blow incorporates into her works alternative materials such as wood, earth, polyethylene, and in this case, straw. This method allowed artists to experiment with spontaneity and texture, qualities which initially attracted Blow to this approach.
