FIRST EDITION of Beatson's account on the the 1799 British military campaign in Mysore India and the final defeat of Tipu Sultan. Beatson, who served as advisor to General Harris during the conflict, composed his narrative in part from personal observations. With a newspaper clipping tipped in titled The Great Historical Picture of the Storming of Seringapatam and dated 4th May 1799.
