"This antique vase has been a favorite model of mine since I purchased it for 5 euros from a sidewalk vendor in Paris ten years ago. As for the log, it is one of hundreds brought in as firewood for the wood stove in the studio. It's interesting form and voice was simply too anthropomorphic to burn. They are such a lovely couple."
