"(55 year old vines - from yields of only 13 hl/ha) A stunningly pure black pinot fruit nose that displays spice, plum and hints of smoke and animale that introduce edgy, structured, muscular and tight flavors of phenomenal richness and power. This is a big but elegant wine, or stated differently, a sublime combination of power and finesse. To be sure, this is certainly ripe but no where near as ripe as the Echézeaux and it's been a long time since I've seen quite this much quality difference between these two wines as the Grands Ech is in another league altogether." BH
In three-bottle original wooden cases, three of them are banded.
