Château Latour--Vintage 1998
Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
One slightly damaged capsule. Not wrapped with original tissue.
"Still showing a bit of baby fat, with fresh red and black primary fruit character and toasty oak spice, the Latour has hardly evolved at all, yet hints at great complexity to come on the nose. On the palate the wine is tannic and structured, with a firmly textured, very rich mouthfeel and great length. In spite of this structure, the wine is not reticent, but is starting to show a very expressive side - a Latour for the ages." CC, March 2009
