Henry Scott Tuke, R.A., R.W.S. (1858-1929)

The present watercolour illustrates Tuke's impressionist painterly approach to plein air painting, evident in the sea, sky and rocks, combined with his adherence to realism and classical form, in his depiction of the figures.
