Albert Robin, a noted Chicago entrepreneur, philanthropist and art collector, bequeathed the following works to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, with the express understanding that they would be sold to benefit the Museum. A true Chicagoan who dedicated his professional life to the built environment of his native city, Albert Robin devoted much of his charitable energies to the promotion of higher education and the growth of Roosevelt University. Now, with this latest gift to the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Robin bequest will help to ensure that one of the great museums of Chicago continues to prosper and grow in its role as one of the major participants in the rich cultural life of the city. Christie's is honored to present property from the Estate of Albert Robin to a new generation of collectors and connoisseurs.
