Both English and made in the mid- 18th century, the naturalist attention to detail and delicate trompe l'oeil treatment of the Chelsea porcelain partridge tureen contrasts nicely with the rustic and two-dimensional depiction of the birds in the five Bristol delftware farmyard dishes.
