These portraits are by the same hand as a portrait of Emma Clark in the collection of the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Center in Williamsburg, Virginia and is illustrated in Beatrix T. Rumford, American Folk Portraits, Paintings and Drawings from the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Center (Boston, 1981), p. 250, fig. 241.
