Edward Ramsden Hall (1900-1982) was a prolific and succesfull amateur competitor in many famous races including Le Mans, The Mille Miglia and the 410-Mile Tourist Trophy in Ulster from 1922 until his retirement in 1951. He was elected to the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) in 1932 and awarded their Gold Star for his performance at Brooklands in 1933.
