The first of 1887 Heavy Cavalry Undress Pattern, with spear-point fullered etched blade with 'ER VII' cypher, signed 'Hobson & Sons 135 Lexington St London W' and serial numbered '102248', pierced steel honeysuckle hilt, and wire-bound shagreen-covered grip, in steel-mounted brown leather scabbard; the second of 1895 Infantry Officer's Pattern, with stapering fullered etched blade with 'GR V' cypher and signed 'Henry Poole & Co. Saville Row W', plated pierced hilt, wire-bound shagreen-covered grip, and white leather and bullion sword-knot, in original plated steel scabbard
