A FRENCH WHITE METAL AND BRASS TABLE LAMP MODELLED AS A CORN SHEAF

Maison Charles was founded by Ernest Charles in 1908. In 1923 Ernests son, Emile Charles, took over La Maison Charles. In 1959 Emile's two sons joined the company. Together, they created the foundation for Charles' defining style and expertise, most notably expressed by their worldwide famous bronze lamp designs (Pineapple, Corn Stalk, Pine Cone, Lotus etc.) In 1965 Jacques Charles created the Inox Collection. The organic lamp designs were particularly successful and became one of the aesthetic references of this period.
