專家說明

Denis-Louis Ancellet, maître in 1766.

This console-desserte is closely related to a group of virtually identical examples stamped by either Adam Weisweiler or Martin Carlin, but undoubtedly designed the celebrated marchand-mercier Dominique Daguerre. A suite of four examples of this model was supplied to the banquier de la Cour Jean-Joseph de Laborde. Three of these were sold Tajan, Paris, 13 June 1979, lot 89, while the fourth stamped by Carlin, was sold from the collection of Baron Guy de Rothschild from the Chateau de Ferrieres, Sotheby's, Monaco, 3 December 1994, lot 96.
