專家說明
General Alexander Michaelov (1870-1934) served in the Imperial Russian army and, after the Revolution, with the White army in Siberia. After the defeat of the army, he and his wife traveled around the world, hoping to join the White forces in the Crimea. However, by the time they reached Yugoslavia, the Michaelovs learned the White forces had been defeated. They chose to remain in Yugoslavia, where General Michaelov served as a technical advisor to the Yugoslav army. Their son George enrolled in the Yugoslav Royal Air Force Academy and enjoyed a distinguished career as a pilot. After being shot down and imprisoned in Germany during the Second World War, George commandeered an aircraft and escaped to join the R.A.F. After the war, he settled in the United States, where he worked as Chief Test Pilot for the Sikorsky corporation.
