The inside case door bears Nina Fletcher Little's paper label: This clock was made by Jonathan Winslow, born in Hardwick, Mass., on August 15, 1765. Apprenticed to Cheney, Benjamin and Timothy of East Hartford, Connecticut? where he carried on his trade but lived in Warren, New Salem, Worcester and Springfield Mass. Died in Springfield July 20, 1847. See March issue Antiques for 1938.
